Mommy’s Bliss Kids Upset Tummy and Nausea Relief Review

With 5 kids one thing I can count on is someone saying “My Stomach hurts” or worse the dreaded sound of throw up. Most often my boys will try Pepno and sip on Ginger Ale, the girls sip on Ginger Ale and nibble on crackers…if able to. But those are helpful things, until now nothing really worked. And I don’t say that lightly either.

Ironically when the Mommy’s Bliss Kids Upset Tummy & Nausea Relief arrived the stomach bug was in full force in our house. At first I wasn’t sure about using it, but it was 2:16AM and my daughter was on the floor throwing up again…I tore open the individual packet and she drank it down. I waited and waited for it to come back up and NOPE. She laid down and after a few minutes was fast asleep, with NO more throwing up. I was shocked. Later that morning, after mommy got some sleep as well, I decided to take a look at the Mommy’s Bliss website and read more about their products. I was familiar with some but wanted to read more about their ingredients and their Resource Center.

It is a 100% Vegetarian & Vegan, made with organic ginger, fennel, dill & peppermint extracts. No harsh chemicals, naturally sugar free, no artificial flavors or colors.

Night two my son was sick, before he was so sick and laying on my bathroom floor I gave him one of the packets of the Kid’s Upset Tummy & Nausea Relief. Though he stayed up from school he stopped throwing up and was on the mend.

We now have 7 packs left of the 10 it comes with, for when the flu hits our home again…we will be ready! oh you want to know who used the 3rd pack? MOMMY! It was day 3 of being sick and way beyond lacking sleep, that I decided I would try and see if it would help MOMMY. The 1 pack is a 2 teaspoon dose, perfect for kids and not too bad for MOMMYS. I probably could have taken two packs but one worked enough for me to get 4 hours asleep, and that was perfect.

What is great about Mommy’s Bliss is they offer more All Natural Products for Babies & Kids. Click here to get a $1 off your Mommy’s Bliss purchase.

Babiators Sunglass for Kids Review

We live in the VERY Sunny state of North Carolina, sunglasses are a must! Even when it rains (and it does often) it is sunny and humid out. My kids are at the age where when we get in the car they are popping on some cheap sunglasses I grabbed for them….complaining how they don’t cover right and/or break easy and often times do not fit properly. When I received 4 glasses from Babiators to review, my kids were THRILLED! Have to say so was I. They come with a cloth case and wipe to use to clean the lens…how great is that!!! Ones I have bought from Walmart or Target do not come with either of those.

I usually don’t like many sun glasses since like my kids have found they don’t often fit right. Yes they are for kids 7-14 but they fit me great!

The Babiators’ ACES come in more than just the color white, check out their selection of stylish colors.. Aces Sunglass

It’s time for something BIGGER — Introducing our new Aces Shades for all kids ages 7-14 to rock all year long! These 100% UV protection sunglasses feature our best-selling aviator frame with an amped-up cool factor and stylin’ mirrored lenses.

Now that 4 of my kids have awesome new sun glasses that since arrival they have used every car trip and while playing outside…as well as taking care of them! They look so cute and stylish in their new glasses. My son Kevin absolutely loves his..he wants an extra pair in their Black with the Blue Lens.

Which color would your kids want? Another GREAT GREAT thing about Babiators is their Lost & Found Guarantee. Yes you read that right… Lost & Found Guarantee. With kids I know all to well about lost items, and then having to them, not with Babiators if your child’s  Babiators products are lost or broken within one year of purchase, we will send you a FREE replacement (all you pay is shipping!), be sure to register your purchase on their Babiators website. HOW AWESOME IS THAT?

We look so COOL! Be sure to visit Babiators and come back and let me know which one you would pick or have ordered!

Review on the Melissa & Doug Design-Your-Own Bracelets

 Make-Your-Own Bracelets Fashion Craft Set

By: Melissa & Doug

My two girls just love doing crafts. If I had a craft for them to keep them busy all day they would be the happiest girls in the world! Before leaving on a weekend trip so my husband could attend the Marine Corps Ball — Happy 239th Birthday, I wanted to get Megan and Faith a craft/activity to do while at the hotel. And what better company to look to then Melissa & Doug. They have so many creative play, Arts & Crafts, Puzzles, Pretend Toys and so much more. When I found this craft set I knew the girls would have fun sharing the 4 bracelets and enjoy decorating their own.

Brac 1

I love hearing the giggles when I handed them the set. They quickly picked out which colors was theirs. Happily no fighting.  The set comes with 4 colors – Glitter Pink, Glitter Blue, Glitter Purple and Glitter Sliver. When you flip them over they are have a lighter shade on the other side! HOW COOL IS THAT! It also comes with LOTS OF STICKERS! Every girls dreams!

Brac 3

Here is the Product Description from http://www.melissaanddoug.com/ website :

This exciting fashion activity set and bracelet craft kit lets kids make their own accessories to wear and share! Brac 2

Brac 4

Megan likes to copy what is shown on the package and Faith likes to do her own style! Each had a fun times and still love wearing them. If you would like to order your own, you can purchase it the craft set from here http://www.melissaanddoug.com/make-your-own-bracelets-fashion-craft-set for $4.99.

Brac 5

Faith showing off her two finished bracelets. Both sides of the bracelets have stickers and the stickers stay on VERY well with how rough these two can be. Megan is almost 7 and Faith just turned 5 and both have put these bracelets through the ringer. They are not water proof, as Faith did find out with her pink one. They are Velcro so they can be adjusted to most size wrist and I would say for the age range they fit perfectly. Both my girls have tiny wrist and were able to adjust them tight enough to where they would not slide off.

Heating Pad by Sunbeam Reaview

Heating Pad

Sunbeam Xpress Heat $24.99 @ Target. Claims it “HEATS UP IN 30 SECONDS”

After 10 years with my last heating and having that one melt and fry itself it was time to get another and no time is better than waking up with a stiff neck ugh! So I looked around for one with a good review online as well as in stock close by and this was the one that fit both 4 stars and close by. Now to pass my harsh test — the heat test! It may heat up in 30 seconds but does that heat give any relief? We shall see.

Heating Pad 2

The last one I had, was also from Sunbeam, though unlike this it did not have a soft cover. This cover is plush and very soft to the touch, a little too plush as it absorbs too much of the heat, but I will touch on that in a bit. The controller is easy to use. It works on ‘pushes’ 1 push-for warm, 2 for light, 3 for medium and 4 for high. The pad it self is a good size. I tend to use it for neck, lower back and shoulder so it is not too small and not too big either. Does fold over nicely for when I was laying on to help with my neck when I got home.

The Test!

Yes you can feel “heat” in 30 seconds so they are not wrong just not to my liking! When my neck is stiff or any part of me is stiff “WARM” just does not cut it. Even slightly hot (which to me this does not get to) does not cut it either. I want it HOT. So for the heat factor I feel as if my older one was much better, then again 10 years ago regulations probably were not that tight and what is now medium was then low, making high more like scolding!!! Also the cover got a huge upgrade and increase in fabric over the last 10 years. Probably due to comfort and safety. HENCE WHY MINE WAS ABLE TO FRY AND MELT ITSELF. My old one the cover was thinner then Hotel 8’s pillow cases, which helped me feel the heat more. This cover is plush more throw like. The cord also is more safe as it too was upgraded, which this I am glad!! I do like the controller and it is not rubber as some other ones were that I looked at.

Overall the $24.99 is a great value. I do know that Sunbeam is great name in Health Care products and they have a wonderful customer service line if you do need to call about any of their products or have any questions.

They have been around since 1910 and is an American brand.

Will be using this often. Do you own a Sunbeam product? What do you think of them? Which brand is your heating pad made by?

Giggles at the computer….doing Math?

I stumbled upon this website on my twitter feed one day KidsNBids www.kidsnbids.com. Decided I would check them out and see what I thought. I am sure you have all heard of ABC Mouse – I did their trial way back but to be honest Eric, Sean and Kevin never got “hooked” great concept just not fitting for their ages and interest. So went into looking at Kids N Bids with a similar mentality that as far as the girls would go it wouldn’t hold them and have them wanting to keep coming back to play,  which in turn they were learning.

I was surprised. Even found myself playing a couple of games, who doesn’t need a good game of memory at age 35 or heck with ‘Mom Brain’?!! Faith and Megan couldn’t get enough and when my 12-year-old Kevin asked if he could play as well, how could I say NO!!

What sets them apart from “XYZ” is not only their games, the fun Farm theme, their PRICE!!! but is their reward program they have for each child. As the kids play games and they can earn ‘GOODLES’, these ‘GOODLES’ can be redeemed for actual toys or gift cards in their secure-free shipping Auction. No I did not help with any earning of GOODLES so they girls could redeem them faster, the idea is to reward all their hard work.

Faith got a $10 Toys-R-US GC and was so PROUD of herself when it arrived, and she knew why and how she earned it “I PLAYED MATH ALL DAY WHILE MY BROTHERS AND MY MEGAN WERE AT SCHOOL” Here she is with her items she picked out:

Megan saved up and saved up for a Monster High Doll! She crossed off on her calendar each day until the Auction ended and then screamed when it arrived in the mail, with lighting speed!

Kevin is still playing and what subjects does he like best on their site? The Science and Social Studies. He is saving up his GOODLES for the Easy Bake Oven, as he is my future Baker #KevinTheBaker

Here is a screen shot of when Kevin was play.

We love Kids N Bids, and have been thrilled that each day after homework the girls are asking to hop on and play games that are educational and safe! Megan, is working on her math times table and this has helped. She is now on her way to saving up for another item. Which is another great concept KIDS N BIDS have, helping with setting a goal and working toward that. Once Megan saw that Monster High Doll she then saw how many GOODLES she needed to earn to be able to bid 234 (I believe, if you ask her she would remember). She exceeded that, then bid on her doll and set a new goal.

Faith being 5, jumps between 2 toys but she knows she has to work –in a fun way to earn more GOODLES!

Here is a link so that you and your child(ren) can check out Kids-N-Bids

We are on a referral program, but these opinions are mine and are not swayed by any company. All program referral rewards I earn go toward my Volunteer Mission Trip to Tanzania, Africa where I will have the privilege to volunteer at an orphanage and help. Blog posting on that was up and now I am updating it and will be reposting it by 10-8-2014, if you would like more information on that.
